Oh ok, may end up doing that. They're still a little young to appreciate the history, but they will like looking at the planes.

I will be the 1st to admit Texas beaches suck! Padre is about the best it gets, but.....you can't beat the fishing we have right off the beach anywhere in Texas!

 

I've never been to that side of the Gulf. I have picked up in Corpus before, but that's as close as I've been. I would like to go to Galveston and San Padre just to see it, but I love the Emerald Coast

South Padre* I knew San Padre didn't sound right when I typed it

 

Lol I should have been more clear. Texas is the worst. FL isn't so bad but I lived on a beach in St. Thomas as a kid so it's hard to compare. Also have been to several nice beaches in the Pacific and Australia. So gulf beaches have a hard time comparing. No insults intended.
