Have you priced out a rolling chassis Coronado? And just swap you're engine and trans over and possibly you're rear end.

Yep. And when this truck gets old enough to cost more in repairs than that rolling chasis i will be buying it. But right now she doesn't cost me much, practically nothing, so i can't justify spending a hundred grand just to look better and have a less squeaky cab. But if i came across one with a rod through the block for 10 grand...I'd probably snag it up and tow it home.

Hi guys and gals. I am starting at Mercer on November 7th. I have read these pages for over a month. I know it takes time to learn the system, but after reading all this, you all made it easier to understand. I do have a question on the Great Dane trailers. I assume there is a dump valve for the axle on the trailer. What connection is up front? I currently have a 2 pin connection on my power cord since I came from a hopper. Just want to make sure I have the right setup. I forgot to ask my Recruiter Robin.
Thanks again in advance for all the great information you all have posted here. I don't think there is any other thread on this site quite like this.

It's a great dane specific plug up front. A normal 7 pin will go in the same hole so I'd change it out instead of having to go to great dane to buy the pig tail.

Hey guys, I've never been an owner op before but having trouble understanding the fuel surcharge. Is it like an industry standard amount or does it differ from load to load? I've heard the number that mercer gives out for the average drivers are making per mile anywhere from 1.75-1.80, was wondering if this amount includes the fuel surcharge and other accessorial pay. I was also wondering what kind of rates per mile you can get if you focus on the Illinois/Chicago area. I do not mind unloading/reloading and tarping everyday.
