I have regular customers I haul hazmat loads for, mostly roofing materials and some pallets usually have hazmat. One of the big names pays $75 and the other is $150.

The value is not in the added charge, it is in the added opportunity to find the best available load at the time.

But, as others have said, all the individual charges do not matter, either the load pays enough for what you are required to do, or it doesn't. I do know pigheaded Mercer drivers that will turn down a $3.00/mi load because there is no FSC or tarp charge for a little four foot tarp. Fine with me, we need more drivers like that so I can make more money.
