How long is the box? Under 36 inches? 1.5 inch angle made out of 3/16ths steel. Could get away with less than inch and a half but the cost won't be much difference and i hate having all the weight supported on just the outside lip of the box.

To be honest those from tractor supply will probably be fine, but a Honda generator isn't cheap. Id hate to risk it over the few bucks it will cost to make good ones. The roads we run on those brackets are gonna constantly be under a lot of up and down force.

Edit to add: you do know not to drill close to the top and bottom lip of the frame rail right? Look at how other things are mounted on the truck and measure the distance from the top and bottom. Don't do above or below those points. 4 3/8ths bolts will be fine. No need to drill bigger holes in that frame than you need. And use grade 8 bolts, nuts, waahers, and lock washers. They resist corrosion MUCH better than grade 5.

We left the Mercer group and have been running on our own authority. There were very few loads paying 1.75 or more and a lot paying less at Mercer.. We also aren't setting waiting for loads. Someone of you thought our problems were the result of our trailer a SD Conastoga, but we're have had no trouble finding loads. We are averaging 2.30 a mile. Mercer just want a fit for us.

@mi38 I would think you could do ok just moving coils around up there. You have a list of Mercer agents. I heard you can get a fuel card from them and still get the fuel discount that way. It could be a lie idk.

You got to be an Authorized carrier for that. I had a driver that did a load for me. Ran his own numbers but he was Authorized by mercer

Nothing special to being an authorized carrier.

LMAO! With Petes luck I would be scared to haul a 1 gallon jug of gas strapped on the very rear of the trailer.

Afraid a bolt of lightning would come out of that black cloud that follows him around and direct hit that darn gas jug
