Plastic reels you can. Often they don't want chains as they can damage the reels.

I am planning to make move to mercer in the spring. I have a question on CPM operating costs. I used the Sammons cost of operations spread sheet and imputing numbers based on what I have read and I am at a breakeven CPM of 1.41 per mile. This is with a pre emission truck, I will be financing but buying from a buddy $1,200 pmt, $535 trailer pmt. My fixed costs are $1,865 a month, variable at $4,810. Estimating annual mileage at 110,000. Question is my CPM sound about right or am I possibly missing something?
