Maybe it's just a rocker arm.

Yeah, I dunno, it was crazy. It started knocking, then the oil pressure dropped suddenly and the oil temp started getting close to red lining. I backed off the throttle, threw my flashers on and then the check engine light came on. In less than a mile it went from that to the service engine light, to the do not run light. I started to pull off the road and it shut off. I jumped out expecting to see oil all over the side of my truck, there was none. I popped the hood, none on the engine, none on the ground. Pulled the dipstick, oil was full. I jumped back in the truck, tried to crank it, battery was dead. I checked the readout on the inverter, battery was full. I unplugged everything, wrecker towed me to the dealership, and by the time they looked at it this morning they had to jump it off, then shut it down immediately because of the knocking.

That's exactly it. But you also need to buy the kit with the valves and solenoids. Well you don't NEED to, you could use any valves you wanted. Me, i prefer to just spend a few extra bucks to get a box with everything i need than run to three part stores 5 times. Technically you could just pipe in 2 ball valves, one to dump the air in the suspension bags, and one to supply air to the lift bags. Hendrickson offers many different options for that kit. I chose the one that isolates the brakes on that axle. It's free spinning but also won't apply them when the axle is up.

    Highway Sailor Thanks this.
