@spyder7723 Hi! Can I call on your Freightliner Columbia expertise? I am alone playing around with the truck while hubby is out and about with his kiddos. I have no idea what I'm doing, but we do have various electrical issues and I have spent the evening looking at fuses. My husband hasn't pulled the dash apart yet to look at the cluster to the gauges as we haven't had time yet unfortunately (truck broke down and was in the shop for a few days for an unrelated issue). We have an ABS issue going on as well. I read an old post of yours saying after spending $2k the problem ended up being a bad relay (keeping my fingers crossed that that is our problem, but I am doubtful...I'll explain why). On the digital readout on the dash where the odometer reading shows, lately it has been flashing NO ABS. I held down that button to the right and now it says FAIL 7, FAULT 01, NO ABS, SID 254 (I'm not sure how to get back to the odometer reading--maybe shutting off the truck and turning the key 3 times?). I googled the SID code and saw something about there not being sufficient power to the ECM on either the ground or the power. We have had to re-run a ground from the ECM in the past (March 2016). I'm wondering if we should start there, or change that relay (as it is inexpensive). I changed all the ABS related fuses in the box behind the driver's seat (but they were not blown). When I depressed the trailer ABS check switch in that panel, the trailer ABS light on the dash lit up.
Maybe if it is a bad ground wire it is the same ground that is causing problems with the gauges.
I also read that Qualcomm sometimes causes some problems. We got it 3+ years ago and as far as I remember we have had problems that whole time...but I cannot honestly say if they started before or after the Qualcomm installation.
(I was able to get back to odometer reading by holding down that button again.)
I appreciate any advice. Thanks! -

Edit to add: also keep in mind I've got a thousand dollars worth of stainless steel exhaust sitting in my garage that i bought in November and still haven't put on. And my inframe kit sat on the work bench over a year before i finally tore the engine down. So it's likely is next winter before i get around to doing this.Airborne, Highway Sailor and Razorwyr Thank this. -
Airborne, whoopNride, Highway Sailor and 1 other person Thank this.
