I don't know what the confusion is. There is revenue, and then deductions. Yes it involves more adding and subtracting when is taken out by the day instead of in one lump sum. But it's all labelled very clearly.

There isn't a true revenue or deductions section. There's a total revenue and total charges section that equal each other. Unless you guys are out there working for free, then it is confusing to someone who isn't familiar with the company. And on charges, it really depends on the firm. We average around 300 for something like this

If its not a small fortune then that's a guy you don't want doing your taxes. Anything under 75 bucks an hour would raise my suspicions.

The thong is, any monkey can take HR blocks six week online course and be a 'certified' tax preparer. That doesn't make them an accountant. And with my business at stake, i want a real accountant with a real degree from a real university that specializes in trucking. They ain't cheap but they don't screw you over with their incompetence.

The total revenue will equal the total charges on the settlement sheet. Think of it as your client issuing Mercer credit for the total revenue. The reason the total charges are the same as total revenue is that Mercer paid the total revenue in full, meaning they no longer owe your client money for the load.

One of those charges is the direct deposit to the bank account. Eft checking. Surely as an accountant you have heard of electronic funds transfer.

Seems to me this forum should have been a great place for @KinWats to get an answer to a simple question. Obviously the driver that gave him the statements didn't have a clue.

I would rather have an accountant that sees something new and questions himself and seeks answers. Than, the accountant that is so full of himself, and refuses to believe he could be reading something wrong.
