Even a new truck has a vent or you wouldn't be able to shut the doors.

Not that I wanted to teach a class in refrigeration but any refrigeration system works on the basis of taking heat from one place such as a freezer, a room or a truck cab and moving it to another place such as out side so yes you would normally run the intake for the condenser from outside just like a window unit for your house has 2 fans one to circulate the air inside Thru the evaporator coil and one outside to circulate air thru the condenser outside Pete's unit works the same and it is very less efficient to move air you have all ready cooled outside and replace it with hot I don't know how much volume of air the unit he has gose thru the condenser coil but look at it this way let's say it's 100 degrees out and every time air passes thru the evaporator coil it lowers the temp 5 degrees if you keep venting it at 10,,% and pulling in 100 degrees you will have a very hard time getting temp down to 70 degrees

This is what i know. These units like pete bought are very common and sold almost everywhere. I've got one at home in my garage. And if it can cool my 2 car garage in south florida summers, it will cool a truck cab just fine.

I am not saying you will need it but if you do the condenser side should be sealed so the air you pull in will be vented right back out and should not mix with air circulating through the evaporator coil inside the Truck

Grit remover is great to make your fuel lines look new lol. Trying to fix a fuel tank issue so pulled my apu fuel lines out and sprayed it on them as the lines were Black. Made them silver like new xD

Does Mercer tarps have their name stenciled on them? I'm sure they don't pay you for advertising. Lol. Was just wondering if I should bring my own?

Bring your own. Mercer tarps are thin vinyl. They tear way to easy.
