Ok, y'all convinced me. I'll be in Louisville sometime Wednesday, staying for the truck show, and maybe I will get lucky and my engine will be rebuilt by Monday after the show.

As was stated earlier about the second vent. The intake is for the condenser air only. That section is a closed system. If intake air is not used, the cooled air in the truck will be pulled through the condenser and exhausted outside, forcing warm air from outside to be pulled into the truck to make up for the exhausted air.
No exhaust or any other outside smells will come into the interior of the truck with an intake hose. Smells may very well come in not using it because of inside air being replaced that is being shoved through the exhaust hose.CJndaTruck Thanks this. -

I copied this from the Home Depot website:

The condensate is self evaporated. I live in a desert area so it hasn't been a problem but what would happen in a humid climate I have no idea. I think an extra drain hose can be attached to the back sorry can't remember but there is a rubber plug at the bottom so I assume that is what it's used for.... I haven't needed it.
The plastic sides tend to vibrate a bit but I have a way to deal with it.
The sound of it running is about the same as using a window AC unit so it's ok if you're not sitting too close.
It was 109 deg. 2 days ago and the cooling worked perfect
I rigged it vertically in a sliding glass door that goes out onto my patio instead of connecting to a window.
Don't buy a single duct because they have to draw in outside air to operate and you'll be wasting a lot of money on your electric bill.

The short answer is no. The unit slings the water over the hot condenser and then expels the moisture/water out the exhaust tube. I never had to drain any water even on very hot humid days in eastern PA. However, there is a drain so you can remove any excess water from it when you store it for the winter.TruckerPete1990 Thanks this.
