Be careful pete. I know you want to take care of your brother, but you gotta put your wife and baby first. Obviously you know him better than i do, just be careful with this. A house with a newborn is a very stressful place. And guys with mental problems don't handle stress well.

 

Absolutely. Unless you want to be dragging out a heavy 8 ft tarp to tarp a piece 1 ft high.

 

My dad tried saving my brother. Lost re window in his car. Had a couple of cars wrecked. Called the cops on him when he got bad. My brother wouldn't starve he has military disability. But it was just my dad, no kids or wife. So he got his own place after my dad helped him get his disability.

 

Pete, the places that deal with mental health issues usually have 24/7 help lines that you or your wife should be calling right now. Also call the Salvation Army if there's one in your area since they routinely deal with mental health issues in their shelters and should be able to provide you with a list of resources.

As Spyder said, you need to be careful with your big hearted desires to take care of your brother. The sooner you can get him the help he needs the better its going to be for him and your family. I wish I could do more to help.

we put him on the far end of the house in the baby's room and the baby sleeps with the wife. He gets disability but the problem is they won't give him his check until he has a mailing address. I have the wife looking into getting him the right help that he needs. Her mom works in a doctors office so we are hoping she has a phone number or something we can get. homeless shelters around here are closed you can only stay in them for 10 days every 90 days.

 

I know this is not a religious forum: but I just want you to know Pete, my prayers are with you and your wife, while you try to struggle thru these issues with your brother.

How is assuming they are inept?? It's a known fact the longer you use something the more familiar it becomes. Have you got any idea of the number of people who had never even attempted to log in to the new board until the day the old one disappeared? More than you would ever guess. This they had no idea of the differences until the day they needed it. Now i ask, who do you think who has a better grasp, those who first logged in Jan 26 or someone who logged in on Monday after the old disappeared? And i work the load board to death. And calling IT is the best way to resolve a problem, in fact there is a place to click to get support on the load board page. I have guys i have tried to help with issues and they were told to call IT with device specific issues, they never call, but continue to complain. It s nothing to do with ineptness, but an issue of familiarity.
