That's still the plan. I've got some personal things to work through before I can. I'll probably make the switch in the spring.Highway Sailor Thanks this.
-
you gonna do UPS this year?
-
Not if I can keep from it. I don't know a lot about it but from what little I've heard it wouldn't fit my driving style. Lol.

Used to run lots of soybean meal into George's in Springdale. Dad still does a lot of meat and bone meal and DDG into Fort Smith and Keota. The meat and bone meal ain't really worth it though. And getting out usually means Port 33 at Inola which means cheap ### fertilizer. But sometimes can wrangle up something better out of Van Buren or Fort Smith back up to KS or NE. It wasn't bad, but...
...this is why I quit. 2014 was probably the best year for hoppers, running pert near $2.35 a mile for all miles by our books. Every year after has been about $1.85 and that's including harvest where you drive 500 miles a week but still gross 5-6k lol. -
Yep. Its a real shame what happened to that segment of trucking.

I see in the driver's lounge they put up a poster of 2 Mercer drivers and there dog that was all killed in a wreck at the end of May... A couple of the drivers I talked with didn't know much about it... Anyone know how and where this took place?

I want to couple drivers I met with told me to call a current office then Shelbyville. I look at it this way. If it's around 1.60 plus it's worth it as I'm not wearing my trailer down. Plus it's all miles and tollsRStewart Thanks this.
