I need help.... how can I tell if my engine mounts are bad? Where can I find them? How often are they replaced?

When taking off in lower gears, palm the top of the shifter. When you apply a lot of throttle, it'll pull/jerk the shifter out from under your hand. That's one way to tell if they've gone bad. Another is to just look at the stick. You'll be able to tell if it isn't right.

Rear engine mounts are usually located near the bellhousing area. They're pretty easy to spot, but a ##### to change. Mounts should last 7-10 years depending on the environment the truck is in.

They should eat the cost of the typo IMO... Or hire someone that knows how to proof read after they type.

    Airborne and TruckerPete1990 Thank this.

I haven't had a bid load yet, I've gotten a couple where the customer wants to "counter offer" the posted rate, to a lower number... With the exception of one load when I first started here I always tell them no thanks when they pull that crap...

    Airborne Thanks this.

Any places in Seattle area to stay away from loading at? Didn't have any intentions of going there but was dead-heading 1000 miles from So.Cal to Portland area for a personal matter when they called offering me a load to Seattle area which has enough time on it for me to stop in Portland so I took it...@cjndatruck
