I wouldn't say "unfair" advantage, but it sure is a huge advantage to have someone looking while you are spending 10-14 hours daily driving, loading, fueling, ect. She should start a Mercer dispatch service for some of the other guys. She could make as much or more than you every week.

I have a new coordinator. My contractor got on Mercer the other day about poorly performing trucks.
My old coordinator wouldn't preplan anything even when I told him to put me on a certain load.

Yep I delivered a coil to Greensboro and was chating with another Mercer driver there till close to 10am. You know my truck, and you didn't come over and pick? See how you are.
I'll be stopping by the yard tomorrow afternoon after I get my permits. Got me an oversize load for Mi. but have to wait on permits in the morning.

Hey fellas got a few questions after reading a good bit of this thread( exhausting as that was). I noticed mercer apparently breaks down the rate to what you are going to be paid, ( to the truck) does this include the fsc or is that broke down as well. Is the availability of freight high, or do you do a lot of sitting. Right now I do a lot of short stuff but at least a load a day. How much of an issue is it getting out of the north east, I live in south east pa, not far from Baltimore. The trailer lease deal, after the payments are done do you own it or is there a balloon payment and is it usually good equipment. In your opinion is step or flat better( freight availability).
Thanks guys if I think of others ill put them up too. Oh are they going to this electronic crap or staying with paper.

In 252 pages about Mercer and we haven't covered those questions? How fast did you read the last 252 pages?
I'm thinking it (seemed) to exhausting to read so just ask.

I bet Bayo Hotshot can tell you a few things. We haven't heard from him in a few days.

    cootr68 Thanks this.
