well 24 an hour is only 960a week, probably 720 after taxes. are you really going to be happy on that paycheck? having tho work week in and week out? I couldn't do it. I like my 10 plus weeks of good off time

Actually comes to $1660 because they pay time and half over 40 and normal week is 60 hours not 40.
40 hour work week OTR would be very short week also. Or do you only work 40 OTR.
The insurance didn't use to mean much to me but now we all have to pay for it whether we have it or not based on Obama Heath care.

Any job take home over $1,200 a week with insurance is a good job to me...I'm paying $525 a month for health insurance now.

I'm all fairness, id be tempted to take a job like that in order to be around more for my lil girl. but I would probably hate it. getting up at the same time everyday to drive the same roads, not being able to take off whenever I felt like it. not sure I could handle that
if I was in your shoes, I'd have to look at my tax returns from the last few years, average them out and see how it compares. but keep in mind that those 10 weeks off were not just really nice quality time, it was 15 to 20 thousand inavailable net income that can be trapped into if needed/wanted.
If you do take the job, sell me that truck, I been wanting a big sleeper

Almost sounds like a real job.
I thought I could never work at a real job. Might even have to set an alarm clock.
