After you sand it, check POR 15...
One of the best coatings to prevent rust...

Depends on what you like to do, but, I live in Mississippi and pretty much stay east of the Mississippi River unless I get a crazy itch. Chicagoland or Peoria to Kentucky or Tennessee up to Mass or Connecticut and back to Illinois. I do well staying in that general region

If you don't treat it with a rust inhibitor like por 15, in a year you will have the same problem.

    Yes.
What do you mean IF? Either you have proof he hit it, such as dash cam footage, or you don't. I'd give him a single day to write a check for the estimate before contacting his insurance with a copout of the police report. You DID file a police report right? Always file a police report.

I did not as i didnt know the time it happen. I sent him proof he says he will pay for the damage. Last time this happen the price was around $1200 for the repair so once i put the truck back together ill grab an Estimate. The problem with the video was we couldn't seer a DOT number or plate just a name and it was a 1 man truck.

Did you call your insurance company the moment you saw the damage? I will be shocked if this guy does more than talk. If he had any intentions of being a stand up man and owning his screw up, he wouldn't of driven off aftet he hit you. He would of taken the time to find you or call the police.

I'd be either turning it into my insurance company and letting their legal team handle it, or hire a lawyer right away.

    DSK333 Thanks this.
