I'd pull the battery box off, but truck is busy in the shop getting actual needed things done.

It was, just out of curiosity, unhook the ground and see if that solves it.

Before anyone goes with a maxwell they really should research what a capacitor is. Ive seen them blow holes in concrete walls when they fail. Or rather i got to see the after effects, glad i wasnt there for the bang. If they will short out and explode in a climate controlled vibration free manufacturing plant, what's the chance they will in a battery box on a truck bouncing around 10 hours a day?

Well, the housing is cracked on my rear end. Talked to KW, he said it will take about 3 weeks for the truck to get fixed after they argue over the warranty, but it should hold up until I go home next, so it looks like I'm gonna run 2 more weeks and then take off 3 or 4 weeks instead of just the 2 I planned for 4th of July.

Nothing... it's the fill plug. It was loose and leaking, I tightened up and tapped it and it was loose again. I figured it was just stripped, so I pulled it out to look and nope, threads were fine. So I turned the flash on on my phone and took a few pictures of the female end of the plug. It's cracked in the threads. That's why it's not too big of a deal right now, it's just the fill plug threads that are cracked. They said that's normally from over tightening. But it's a fill plug, that doesn't make sense, who would tighten that down that tight? They agreed, so dunno. Part of the reason he said 3 weeks, he figures there will be arguing over who is responsible.

Dude a stripped out plug ain't a cracked housing. Buy a tap and die set and put a bigger plug in it. No big deal.

Edit to add: as for whay moron would over tighten a plug... there is a reason i won't let a truck stop change my oil.
