Pete , do I understand correctly that you and claims are dealing directly with them and not thru insurance companies.?

Typically 2 estimates are asked for, and at mercer they can figure what you daily revenue avg is, less 25 per cent and that's the daily amount you stand best chance to collect.

Getting the loss of the 2.52 a mile load will be a stretch.

Far as I know it was directly with the company that claims was dealing with. I just don't see a point in my writing more time getting an estimate. Summit truck group which is international dealer basicly has the whole surrounding states. So the estimate will stay the same. The company seems to be taking there sweet ### time. They got my estimate on the 21st now a week later they think it's to high. Who's gonna pay my hotel bill if okc is $500 cheaper then my home dealer? I feel as I am the victim I should be able to pick my shop. I'm not gonna take it to a shop they won't do decent work.
My local dealer has done me good. When my fender started to crack 2 years after the work. They fixed it for free same with my hood springs they replaced the springs shock n the eye on the hood for free when they broke. Hell they are already giving them a deal at $70 an hour for body work when its $110 lol

the body shop had the truck for 2 days while they did repairs enough for me to get back on the road so im not losing money. The repairs will only takes 3 days at my shop as they will just unglue the right fender glue the new one in place paint it and put a new bumper and head light assembly in. I Just got the feeling this company is dragging there feet and i don't wanna mess with it. I had another insurance company settle with me within 2 hours of getting an Estimate and check was in the mail same day with my down time check. So these guys taking a week then asking for another Estimate is them stalling

Get the other estimate near you , tell em what it needs to be, is your shop affiliated with another near you, if so use them.

You're not obligated to get a second quote from anyone, especially because the shop you chose is where the work will be done at! I had this same issue in GA with my wife's car, their insurance company asked me to get a 2nd estimate, I told them no & if they wanted a second estimate they can come look at it! Tell them that this is the shop you want the work done at, & if they feel the price is too high, tell them to call & talk to the shop, & tell them they are more than welcome to come look at it also, but you are using that shop, period! Getting a second quote is a courtesy not a law!
