Last Friday did 631miles in 11 hours (over nite) Now I know you fellas running UPS do that all the time. BUT mine was due to delayed being loaded running out my clock., D A window licker taking a 30 in the fuel line, 81 in MD being closed due to bridge work resulting in a 40 mile detour, and then getting a DOT inspection in VT. load delivered Miller time!

Yes , that's is true . It has changed. People changed. I actually posted the first comment to the original post that started this thread.

There has been many changes in the over 7 years I have been here . All of them have been worked out.

When they went from trippak mail in envelopes to scanning in paperwork , it was the same exact thing.

The only way they got some to stop mailing them in , was to backcharge them for trippak.

They went thru a deal getting folks helped setting up scanners in their trucks.
Then folks doing transflo and trippak on their phone caused a ruckus.

They say there was a bigger ruckus when they first put the loadboard in originally.

Look at the ruckus last year with the new load board .

    It pretty much worked out.
And nobody has died because of any of it.

I would be the first to say rollout of these things could be better, heck with this some of us were asked to test it and then it was removed the next day.

What testing I have done, I did on my own when it was put back.

What most of you see as defending what mercer does is in reality someone knowing what battles can be won.

I simply find a way to make things work, no matter what jumps in the way.

Same as I did with the new load board , I was using old and new from January to April 8 , I would alternate in down time , my wife did the same at home.

I learned it's some of its flaws and with another mercer mentor who a degree in this software engineering thing and had 17 years exp before being a trucker , several suggestions were made. Not all were done but some were.

It is more workable , I manage to stay loaded somehow.

My wife finds as many loads as my coordinator does it seems.

It seems many of you dont like when someone doesn't agree with the the sky is falling theory when changes occur.

If folks dont agree , you take it as arguing instead of a debate of different ideas.

But seriously what good comes from ranting and raving at the Mercer folks on the mtown lounge Facebook page?

Their rearends were up as deep in alligators as anyone were today.

And the ones catching heck had probably had as much input as anyone here did.

Pete, the app isnt coming back, I think that's pretty much out of our hands. But you forget the app caused as much if not more problems than this caused.

About 200 guys had to be routed in and basically forced to use the app for tracking or cut their lease.

And without fail every monday when it seemed the app was down, posts hit Facebook and here.

Now its seems to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

There was no less than three of those folks on mtown lounge who I talked to today and helped them get paperwork sent.
It wasnt anything earth shattering, but simply stop, take a breath , and give it a try, all three got sent and all three got paid.

One we worked thru an image problem solved by using a scan app.

The thing is if all of us are wound up like clocks we cant help people work thru things . I dont think anyone would want folks ranting and raving at them like they were on the Facebook page today.

Probably not many would put up with what I put up with on this page .
I have talked to and helped a few thats on here.

I have been thru far worse things that a app going away.

My 20 ye as r old was diagnosed with cancer in December 2017 , that's after losing a baby 6 weeks earlier, I was in Jacksonville, fl doing ups , she ended up at mayo clinic there. I was doing jville to Sarasota or jville to west palm overnite.

Never missed a run, get back, catch uber, visit, and sleep and make a run.

It was chemo every other day til April, after 2 weeks in hn hospital she made the drive from ft Stewart to jville every other day, she never complained.

My son had a tough time after military service, never knew when that next phone call was bad news, but he worked thru it and never complained, now he skydivers every day at the grand canyon.

My wife has debilitating rheumatoid arthritis , shes 57 , has her knees draiined once a month , her right had is twisted and turned , she can straighten her arms only to a 45 degree angle , her me DC ovation is over 2 grand a month.

She still feeds the horses , drives, cooks , washes clothes,
    And she never complains.

My mom turned 80 yesterday and does all her own yard work on a 4 acre yard that looks like a botanical garden.

    And she never complains.

Me, I am 61, still fl as tbedding, got high BP, type 2 diabetes on 2 meds , and got a umbilical hernia the size of half a tennis ball.
But I go at it every day.

So pardon me if I dont complain about something I'll ng as minor as an inconvience in paperwork.

All the complaints in the world ain't gonna change things . You just go to find a way to make it work.

I used camscanner app to prepare my image today was at 450kb down from 5mb as a photo, it was sharp and clear.

I was on a windmill farm site near the new Mexico border with one bar of service went thru in about 5 seconds at 100 pm and I was paid by 2 .
The depart , I didnt think went thru , but it did , dont know it th as t was caused by my moving right as I did it.

But cutting down the file size really helps in low signal areas .

I like it because you can lighten d as rken , sharpen the image . Sort of transflo looks like on the phone with its black and white image.
