Pete, the reality probably is without any bodily injury you probably wont get a lawyer to take it on a percentage basis .
You would probably have to pay 500 bucks minimum to get nasty letters written.
If you are down a week , odds are you would looking at 2 thousand, 2500 tops downtime ,plus the 500 deductable..
They figure a daily avg based off your revenue.
Probably the best angle is get mercer insurance to hound them for it, your insurance is supposed to go after that for you while they try to get their money back from the other guys insurance
mercer transportation

Oh all I'm after is my down time and my $500 back. I'm not after anything else from them. Maybe my 300 mile deadhead to the shop but that's a slim chance.
Claims said they can try to after them once repairs are done. I'll give them 5 days to agree to pay or a lawyer will get involved. They have dragged there feet enough on me lol -
Yes that's correct , since there is no injury.
But for you to hire a lawyer for this amount would be a break even proposition.
Mercer insurance will surely try to get reimbursed by them and hopefully get your deductible and downtime in the process. -
Felt slipped and got a hole the size of a baseball in my tarp from a verticle piece of square tubing. Stopped at the only petro ive seen that doesnt sell gorilla tape. Dont think duct tape is gonna last long but best i got

I guess I should have looked at the fuel discount website before I fueled up today at the Petro in Napoleon, Ohio. I paid $3.27-gal. The pilot right across the street is $2.81-gal. Normally it's only a couple pennies difference when the truckstops are right across from each other. I'm guessing that because this is a Petro 2 our discount isn't good here like your standard Petro. I think the couple of Petro 2s across the country are individually owned. Ya live and learn.
RStewart Thanks this. -
Yeap, I don't care if it's a only a penny...I'm buying at the cheapest place....adds up over a course of a year...RStewart Thanks this.

Ya for me I would rather pay a couple pennies more and get fuel at Petro, you get a lot less Mega steer wheel holder companies sitting on the fuel island for an hour like you do at Pilot.roshea and Klleetrucking Thank this.
