They are going to pay an additional 5% revenue on all loads that originate or deliver in California for the next 2 years after the CARB thing officially takes affect. Plus a $3000.00 bonus for either adding a DPF to your existing truck or buying a CARB compliant truck.

    Drtro Thanks this.

The $100 bonus is per run up to $3000 for adding a dpf or upgrading your truck. It's not a straight pay out of $3000 but $100 per run up to.

For me, Calif. freight is gona haveta get a lot better than that.
But this is good for the drivers which live out there.

Here are all of the details of incentives available to Mercer Contractor who have, or wish to upgrade:

    • If you upgrade your older, Non-California Compliant truck (06 engine or older), to a CARB Compliant (07 Engine or newer) on or after August 8th, you will be eligible for a $3000 bonus. The bonus will be paid out at $300 per trip for the next 10 trips you complete after upgrading your truck. This bonus will be available to anyone wishing to upgrade until December 31st, 2013.
    • If you upgrade your older, Non-California Compliant truck (96-06 engine) with a CARB Compliant DPF Filter on or after August 8th, you will be eligible for a $3000 bonus. The bonus will be paid out at $300 per trip for the next 10 trips you complete after upgrading your truck. This bonus will be available to anyone wishing to upgrade until December 31st, 2013.
    • Effective as soon as the CARB rule goes into effect, which unless they delay it, will be January 1st, 2014, only trucks with an 07 or newer engine, or an older engine that has been upgraded with a CARB compliant DPF will be able to travel in the state of CA. Any California Compliant truck leased to Mercer, will receive a pay increase on inbound, and outbound California freight, from 75% to 80%. This incentive will be paid ONLY when the CARB rule goes into effect, and will end 24 months after the rule is effective.
    • If any Mercer Contractor has upgraded their equipment, before August 8th, 2013, to a California Compliant engine (07 engine or newer), an additional $50 per trip on inbound and outbound California freight will be paid. This bonus will be available only when the CARB rule goes into effect (tentatively Jan. 1st, 2014), and available for 24 months after the CARB rule goes into effect. The $50 bonus will be in addition to the 80%, and the bonus will be limited to a total of $3000 total within the 24 month period.

Maybe we switch to Natual gas and not need DPF. I read nataul gas trucks are exempt from the dpf rules in Calif.

Are you sitting at the Triple T Truck Stop also?
Judging by your unit number you must have started the week before I did.
