Just depends on the area the load is going. If it's going to a good area then I just book it but if it's going to a bad area or an area that is hit and miss then I try to find a reload before I book the load in.

But it will be done right and they are prepared to do whatever needs to be done to make it fit. To me it's worth it for peace of mind and me not having to deal with it.

Sometimes (most times for me cause I don't care to work on my truck) it's just better to pay the labor to let the expert do the job.

I'm gonna tell you a secret about Paccar trucks...everything is expensive lol.

In the future if you can stay ahead of repairs and can get back home, get the part number off the part or call KW and get it from them. Then call TruckPro with that part number and see if they have what you need or can have it ordered. Most times you'll save 40% over getting parts from a dealer.

Doesn't sound like it. Loads drop sometimes as they either are a bid, part of a list sent to multiple carriers and someone cheaper came along or it may have straight cancelled due to shipper/receiver issues. I wouldn't worry about it.

It sounds like you would have sat over the weekend anyway so idk. I know most the guys on here run differently, but I try to make 5k gross a week and aim for a 34 each weekend. It's a dash during the work week but Saturday is usually a leisurely 200-300 miles then shut down at a hotel within 150 miles of the drop on that following Monday.

    YMMV

I'm on AOBRD so mine is going to be a little different from yours. They added where you can type in a reason for the personal convenience now, along with changing how you approve logs, now its worded certify. It pops up on the screen as the old way wouldn't

At least it didn't cancel last minute and you still have time to get yourself another load. Is it going to east or west PA?

There's a rolled roofing shipper and insulation out of that area. That's what maybe 120 miles from Youngstown? Lots of loads in that area
