Had this conversation with my coordinator today.
Me: "How are these loads going into deep southern FL getting moved so cheap?"
Coordinater: "Way too many guys chasing a check instead of running profitable loads."
We're talking $1.60 to $1.70 a mile, to Miami, and they were gone within minutes of hitting the board. That's just stupid to go down there for so little.whoopNride, drvrtech77 and JonJon78 Thank this. -
here's a serious question. Can i use uship and pull mercer freight at the same time lol?
-
Not if your going to post it on here. Uncle lenny trolls on here
whoopNride Thanks this. -
Eh if i did i would post here its why im asking is if its even against the rules at mercer to do something like that lol
-
Looking at those uship rates i think its worse then mercers load board haha
-
Absolutely not permitted without Mercer's permission and that's not likely to happen. Definitely a termination offense you don't want on your 'permanent record'.
DeagonKennels and TruckerPete1990 Thank this. -

Do you have a vacuum pump? You will need to evacuate the system, at least 30 minutes, before charging or system performance will suck. Also, it's better to verify it will at least hold a vacuum before charging the system. Won't guarantee no leaks, but if you screw up an o-ring/gasket badly, you may be able to find it before charging the system.
If you don't have a vacuum pump, change the parts yourself and find an automotive shop to evac and charge it for you. It'll usually cost less than a truck shop. Usually an auto electric shop that does ac will be most willing to accommodate this.
Btw, another reason for an apu. I can deal with the heat/cold while I'm driving, but not while I'm trying to sleep.
If you have questions, feel free to pm me with your number and a good time to call. HVAC was one of my specialties in the automotive world for 25 years. Jumped out of the pan kind of thing. lolLast edited: Oct 10, 2018
thaistick Thanks this. -
I'm gonna replace the dryer too. It was suggested to add an oz of oil for each component I change, so 2 oz. Sound right to you?
I noticed the condenser leak a few weeks ago, so I'm assuming the system is empty...PoleCrusher Thanks this.
