I'm really not that worried about it. I do run a lot of California and they know when I was inspected. Hell, they didn't ask for any registration or insurance. Just my CDL.

 

They know when you're pulling across the scales, when your last inspection was and every other intimate detail about you...
My first level 1 was in Cali at the coop north of Sacramento on I5, officer was extremely polite and professional...I was a nervous wreck however.

 

I always hear what aholes California DOT can be. I have never had an issue with them and have always been treated with nothing but respect. I'll bet they can be a pain if you're being an ahole yourself, though.

 

Back in 80s and 90s they were serious a holes. Think their history is still keeping stories going.

Yes gonna pay that note off and prob get a carrier. They have 8,000 hours warranty on them compared to a TK with only 4,000
