Payment on my TriPac is 307/mo and is a lease. Personally I prefer a lease over principle + interest because lease is straight deduction, vs. depreciating purchase price and deducting interest as it accrues.

 

this one is set up as a lease also just once its down its urs. I wanted a tripac but id rather have a better warranty to be honest. Both are decent units my truck doesn't have a block heater but they will run a cord so i can hook one up later lol

 

Tripac is ok if you don't need to run a hotel load. They don't come with a generator. Carrier used to, not sure if they still do. Green APU is another nice one. I'll still take my Dynasys with the Kubota motor over any of them though.

 

Yeah the carrier is a generator. My dynasys had the Cat in it. i felt like it was using a lot of diesel though. Almost like it was right at 1gallon an hour or so.

 

I feel the same about mine. My mileage didn't go up any after I put mine on.

 

Carrier units run constantly when on TK units start and stop as needed

My old carrier would turn off at temp I set.

 

Yes it does. I run my bunk heater and APU with A/C on simultaneously so it stays running. It's annoying as anything when that thing is shutting off every 2 minutes just to kick back on 20 seconds later.

 

Actually I was talking about the unit never shutting off. I don't like my APU running non stop.
