I lease a truck from Lone Mountain, 2014 Cascadia, good basic truck 500k on the clock. Only cost me $3800 down and $1395/month for 39 months, no balloon payment. I can work 10 days a month if I want, but I have no expenses other than the truck, which is nice.

It loads out of Manhattan and Stratford, drops are in PA and Virginia... 7k miles total

Ya, when I saw it the first time I only read to the empty trailers for ups. Then I stopped reading because I had no interest in it. I just wanted to see why the high rate from those two points.JonJon78 Thanks this.

Manhattan got me.....No way!
JonJon78 Thanks this. -
And if it's ups why is it showing up on the board? Would that not be with the ups packages they offer from the office?
-
I'm guessing because that run might be tough to get covered so they want everyone to see it?Highway Sailor Thanks this.
-
Because if they have 10 runs that day and only 7 trucks that are dedicated, then 3 loads go to the load board.... or whatever the numbers are....Highway Sailor Thanks this.

Got a call yesterday from coordinator asking if I would be interested in UPS out of Richmond or Norfolk. I hope to get one out of Roanoke since I only live about 45 min from it.
-
Wheres the Roanoke loads take ya? DC or Baltimore?
I dont talk to a whole lot of Mercer drivers out on the road but all the ones I've seen the past month or so complaining about how slow freight has been have all said "I'm gonna try UPS" this year.
My only hope is that every driver that runs the Ohio valley has that same thought process "Gonna try UPS", that will leave me pick of the litter when it comes to loads cause I'll be keeping my flat attached
drvrtech77 and RStewart Thank this.
