Everyone that ask me about Mercer, I tell them it sucks and try Landstar instead...

I don't know where they go. It's just that I live close to the UPS lot. I just leased with Mercer a year ago and I did UPS last year out of Lexington KY.
I did see a couple trips on the board going out of Roanoke for the end of November going to VA MD NC and TN.
I will let you know what was offered if I get one.

And I came from Schneider so I know how they would be to lease to.

 

There are several former Schneider guys here.

 

I'd go nuts driving up and down 81 every day. IMO that's one of the worst stretches of road in the country... Was reading somewhere that tolls have been talked about to help with road improvements... It definitely needs to be widened... maybe all that space in the middle that the police hide out in will eventually be turned into travel lanes?

 

I was watching the news last week while I was at home and they said that vdot is looking for feedback from people about the widening and proposed tolls being added.

Yes 81 is a bad road I worked for a company as a linehaul driver running Roanoke to Harrisburg PA and back 5 nights a week for right at 8 years. I have seen some bad wrecks on that interstate.

Yeah I have seen a bunch of the Schneider drivers over here. It is a lot different between the two companies.

 

Got my UPS package today out of Mechanicsville to Roanoke.

 

That doesn't look to bad, the Mechanicsville that's near Richmond right? What's that about 400 miles a night or so?

 

She is going to send me paperwork this week and yes it is near Richmond.
Only bad thing is it doesn't start in Roanoke like I would have liked it to.
Oh well life is still good.
