I don't know about landstar's eobr, but on three occasions over the last 6/7 years or so, mega company drivers have blocked me in at rest areas and truck stops and claimed they couldn't move so I could get out due to the eobr.

 

most eobr,s wont kick on til one mile has been driven, some are set at 5 miles. but you can move from one spot to the next without any problem and you can pull up out of someones way

 

Been here 5 months I'm at 85,000 with about three weeks off.

 

Believe me, I think he's making what he puts out, his attitude was not good.you can tell the real pro that run this industry right and it isn't for the non thinkers. Everything he said went one ear and out the other without a jake brake.

 

Van? I heard someone say they were like 5th on the board that day,what does that mean? Can u just pick off any load board or do y'all have dispatchers?

 

It means the load had to ran by 4 other drivers first. But learn the system you see that a lot on these threads it means something. Only the ones who learn quickly or the ones who are proactive make it don't be lazy.

 

You were fifth to unload in the area.

 

I have an EOBR in my truck. you have to move 1 mile before it changes your status to driving. Now that's with Mercer, not sure how LS works.
