They said they cleaned it. Which I thought ment they baked it. But they didn't bake it.. really annoyed about that.

That stinks. When its baked it has to be at the shop for 24 hours right? How much idling have you been doing?

I've never looked into it yet, how much does baking cost? I know if you take it off yourself and bring the filter into shop its obviously cheaper.

Not sure was told at cummins it's about $900. Everyone keeps saying get a reman or new because baking doesn't last long.

Bake it the first time and grab a new one the next time.

What's new run? I just had 4 new drive tires put on today, it's always something, I feel your pain. Bought a carrier bearing today and torque arms as well will be doing the torque arms in the morning, haven't built up the courage yet to tackle the bearing job, may let a shop to that.

LOL, take pictures which ever route you decide on so I can know what I'll be up against when it's time to cross that bridge, hopefully not any time soon though.

The carrier bearing might be an arse kicker. Although if you got a shop, a torch, a big impact, and a 12 pack anythings possible, however I'd probably let a shop do it and maybe have u joints done too, and I'd get the non-sealed ones, I like to add grease :)
