Is that place any good? I was gonna do 34 over there a few months back, but I kinda wanted to get a hotel and there rooms where outrageous.
The big casino in Durant, OK off 69 is worth a visit, lots of tables, great steakhouse, and movie theater.

 

And usually that is NOT the case for Landstar...just FYI

 

I haven't stopped in a few years, it used to be... I guess I'll find out if it's still good.

I like Durant, I stop there normally when headed down to Texas. I've never gotten a room though, just park at the truck stop and pay for a shower.

 

Does Mercer require new hires to do road tests now? Had a driver come up to me in the lot behind the recruiting building asking was they in the right lot for the road test? Truck number was a couple years old so must be someone working for a contractor or possibly someone who got in a at fault accident? New to me...

 

When i was in orientation last year a lady had to take a road test because she had went to driving school so she could team with her husband. The instructor said it was just to make sure she new the fundamentals of the truck.

 

I'm guessing this was the case then considering this was also a lady.

 

I think @RStewart wife had to do a road test too.

 

We get a discount now at Speedco... $40 off PM Service today... The lady working said they starting giving Mercer a discount last month...

Works for me.
