There a few people calling themselves the Diesel Doctor...the guy with the shop in Effingham behind the Hardee's is legit. Yes, he may use ESN for a tune, but what do think the internal part difference between a 430hp and a 490hp DDEC III, or 455 vs 515 DD15, or a 400 vs a 500 ISX??? Nothing it's just the software.
Granted if you want a super trucker tune, 6-700hp+, then there are guys out there and those tunes cost $1000.
He did my 14L Detroit, from 490 to about 560ish...this was 6 months ago. The power difference is substantial, about 3/10 increase in mpg, I don't downshift as often, better low end torque..... Before my EGT's would get to about 650, now close to 800...still very acceptable.Last edited: Dec 13, 2018

No one is going to tune my Detroit don't want or need power. Was just asking about the manifold and turbo. Unless it can be turned down to say a 350. Or 380 hp. Have to much power now.

I glide 47 Thanks this.

A 435 CAT and a 475 CAT have significantly different hard parts for 40 more rated horsepower. And the same is true for other manufacturers. -

I cant complain. my tune has been spot on for the last year and I will still endorse him and stand by my choice of tuner. sucks your timing was "off", whatcha do to fix it? Michael will turn it back to where ya had it if you bring it back and don't like the tune he put in it.
thaistick Thanks this.
