I've got a Reitnouer also, you have a 53 ft? And how much weight do you put on it with lift axle up? I go about 20k. Wow, only 2 loads this year with the axle down? I'm a little jealous... I'm about 65-70% of the time over 20k so mines down.

I see another email about drivers getting money stolen from the fuel card. After they warned drivers about this a couple months ago why would people continue to use it as a debt card is beyond me...

I never use those little portable ATM anywhere. I use the fuel card for fuel only and dont keep much extra on the card.

I saw that also. Actually a couple months ago when that first winter storm came up the east coast I made two fuel advances on the card like in 12 hours because I didn't want to run out of fuel. I was talking with my coordinator and he asked me if I made the second request. he told me what was going on. But I only use the card for fuel everything else goes direct deposit to my checking account. I stay away from the Atm machines.

I have a 48. Weight on trailer depends on size of load. I'd put20K at the front and that wouldn't put much on that rear axle. Majority of my 'heavy' loads now are 7750 lbs, the light ones are 3500 lbs. Ocassionally, like today, I grabbed a short one that turned out to be 26K took up most of the trailer, so I exercised the lift air bags and put the wheels down. Unlike an airplane, I retracted the wheels before taking off again once delivered.

I dont think I've ever seen a 48 with the rear axle as a lift. Mines on the first axle.

And ya that percent I gave was just loaded when I'm empty it's up 100% of the time.

Heck I've been looking for next week loads, just short stuff as I have commitments on the weekend and I dont think I see a load within 200 miles that isnt 46k and probably 90% of them need tarped...

Believe I'm gonna start the first week of the year off on vacation, kinda unplanned but oh well... LOL.

Can't always believe what load info says. The loads I haul 95% of the time now say 25K lbs and tarp. They are 7750 or 3500 lb and one half size pallet is all that needs to be tarped.

I planned on some service on the truck between Christmas and new years. Sitting around the house since the 22nd. and plan on being here till the 8th of January. Truck should be done before then but I will all the holiday feelings clear out when people start working again to pay their bills.

I just like to keep better control of my money and keep the fuel purchases separate.
