    Information Update: TA Truck Service announced that their parts and labor rates have increased as of Jan. 1, 2019. The parts increase will average 3-5% and the labor rates will increase 3%.

    They said some shops actually look at it and see that it doesnt change any motor function and then dont worry about it. Others just say you modified it so no warranty.

    Once you have depleted the batteries even one time to the point the won't start the truck they will never regain their full capacity. Are these dual purpose batteries or starting only?

    There is very specific federal law that makes the OEM prove that your aftermarket parts caused damage to be able to deny a warranty claim....not saying they won't tie you up in court but for something like this or oil bypass filtration I wouldn't sweat it.

    Talked to thermo king yesterday. Wont be any new apu till December prime is now only buying TK units and all the other major companies. Found a used one for $7000 with a year warranty.

    The guys at the Goodyear shop in Van Buren charge IIRC $80 an hour labor and can knock out a set of drive brakes inside 2 hours. Shoes at TruckPro are around $50-60 bucks. Drums are around $130-170 a pop. All in I'd say $300 an axle.

    Yeah my MHC guy said they can't even get their hands on a TriPac to put on a new truck. Has me considering a battery APU option.

    Stay away from battery powered apu. They cost more to maintain plus if u sit over 10 hours you need to idle for hours to charge up

    Just brakes about200 per axle may be little more depending on whereabouts you get it done
