I rarely get a big discount. I guess i don't work enough. Management in Louisville probably hates me. I'm the poster child of what they don't want in a contractor.

    mtoo and roshea Thank this.

It wouldn't bother me if I did it. But others sticking me is a huge no

I did a pit in my barn and found it the handiest thing I ever did for working on my truck. Also quite inexpensive with using premade concrete blocks from the concrete company. Blocks are 2'x5'x2'. Stacked 3 deep and double wide. Very solid to drive on and walk right under the truck.

    dwells40 and thaistick Thank this.

I helped my brother form up his floor and pit in his barn and at the time I thought I would never need such a thing, but after using it to do some work on his dump truck and then trying to run a harness on my truck, I became a believer.

I only had less than $1000 putting in my pit. I get the blocks for 17.50 each and have a backhoe so digging was just my time. Took approx. 25 blocks. Probably had more in fuel hauling them as I could only haul 12 at a time since they weigh approx. 3500 lbs each.

    thaistick Thanks this.

I always got good sized chunk of money off my license and permits. Then one year I got $0.00, I called Louisville to see what the mistake was. She laughed and said, Steve, do you know how many miles you ran last year?

I never worked hard enough to get the bonus again, but for many, many years it was very cool to get the bonus.

I went from the poster child of what they wanted as a young man, to the poster child of what they didn't want as a old man. Life is Great !!
