mercer transportation

I can only remember 1 or 2 shippers in the time I did Van's that checked the plate on the trailer to see the mfg date... But more or less I was just pointing out you can get some decent used Van's for cheap. Especially for someone looking to only use it a couple months out of the year...

 

Most shipper that check are roll, paper ,Automotive and and other very heavy loads like beverages maybe canned food products all of which I don't want to haul,!.

 

There's a few, most pulled the mud flaps off. I have a buddy that is technically, but he is getting out of it and coming off the road this week. Mercer isnt the issue with them coming on though, its Quality that wont allow it. I talked to both parties about trading trucks and about getting a second truck at one point. Mercer didnt care, Quality said nope, but I can change to a different company and do that. I said nope, I'll stay right here thank you very much.

 

So question lets say someone was going to hire a driver for his 2nd truck and put them on with Mercer pulling van. Would mercer pay that person X % that the owner chooses and send the rest to the owner?

 

Wouldn't Mercer pay the owner and the owner pay his employee?

 

I would think so but I'm not sure lol

 

I never really thought about Mercer paying the driver, that would be ideal, less crap for the owner to do.

If anyone is interested in a trailer I'm selling mine. Write the check to mercer it's about 9300...

 

How do you still owe ten grand on that trailer? Haven't you been here going on 5 years now?

 

My hire date was 2015 but i did van for couple months. but i still feel it should be lower then that what it really is. So its still about 18 months on the trailer lol
