Fl to ohio. 2k lbs no tarp. 1.84 a mile. A little light on the rate but the fact its basically running empty and going to an extremely good area makes it a decent load.
Edit: couple more fl loads popped late in the day. 1.89 going all the way to California. Definately not my cup of tea but some folks love those easy no tarp coast to coast runsLast edited: May 9, 2019

Ohio sucks right now freight wise over here

It was pretty darn good monday. Several in the 2.25+ range going to decent areas on good miles. I was about to commit to one in the akron area 300 miles from me in Michigan but a good one close to me popped.

Those are indeed good reasons, but to imply that the agents are lazy as corso does is ludicrousRStewart, roshea and spyder7723 Thank this.

Captain Spyder please start posting your deadheading miles when you come on here boasting about your loads that you've been getting.
We can all surely stay loaded provided we want to deadhead 300 miles to every load...

Ya i don't think any of them are lazy, but a few are content and not trying to drum up more or better paying freight. i don't have a problem with that, they are looking out for their interest by making sure their bread and butter customers get covered. Its no different than me looking out for my interest by bouncing to a more profitable load vs grabbing one of their bread and butter loads.

My Monday load was 101 miles dh north to the middle of no where central Michigan. Today's 2.93 a mile load was 41 miles from my delivery.
Edit: there is no boasting. I am disputing the statements you and a couple others have made saying x area sucks. -

Every one runs a little different. There is nothing wrong bouncing several hundred miles for a good load vs sitting waiting several days for a low-average paying freight. When I worked, I wanted to run, when I was sitting I wanted to be at the house looking at the truck thru the living room window.
I had a higher percentage deadhead than most guys, but I chased good paying loads and was successful doing it. Life is good.
Spyders decisions don't have to make Sense to anyone as long they make $ Cents $ for him. No one can argue that he is not successful as an owner-operator. Read between the lines and figure out what sets him apart from others.BoostedTeg, thaistick, RStewart and 5 others Thank this.
