Utah only ever has 2 decent outbound lanes. To southern cali and to the far northwest. Everything else is garbage rates. Gotta get the money going in.

Your right. Looking at the board in those two areas would more than likely put me in worse shape if I took something westbound.

I very rarely come this way, having a reload lined up was the deciding factor... Crap happens, what can ya do.

Today was almost bad... Was passing a truck and i fully passed him and im still in the left lane. Im doing 70 MPH and a drive tire recap Blows. Sends the recap into the Right lane the truck in the that lane about 2 truck lengths away at this time trys to avoid it.. He Went into the Ditch trying to avoid my recap.. Lucky he was able to regain control and put it back on the pavement.. I stopped and he kept going This could of ended very bad for him...

Dang. I guess he should've just hit it.

I've already blown two of the retreads that came on my truck and the others were all cracked like they were dry rotted. Mine lasted the first year but didn't this year. I bought 8 Oliver retreads from loves. They're a low rolling resistance tire and they're smart way certified or whatever they call it. Not a bad deal in my opinion but it could turn into an expensive experiment. Lol

I tried a coupe of those olivers on the truck. The first one lasted 26k miles and blew out the sidewall. They warranteed it and the next day that one three the cap. The third one has been in there about 10k mikes so far. But i don't think I'll try them again.

However the recap they sell specifically made for spread axles I've had with absolutely zero problems. But they raised the price so doubt ill go with them again when we can get continental for just a little bit more.

Do you get tire discounts where your at now? Going into a ditch to avoid a shredding tire is pretty stupid IMO...

I won't buy them again unless they hold up well. I did a little research on Oliver retreads and thought they sounded good enough to try for the price, $2045 for 8 out the door.

Nothing wrong with GY if you run the correct air pressure in them. The tires aren't the problem. By the way, Yokohama, which is a really good tire, can be bought at Speedco for about $400 each walk in. I wasted a set of steers until I learned this. The drives I had did very well and the steers did real well once I learned how to run them.
