    You do know that most truck stops don't have real mechanics right? They're convenient to get to and usually not too busy, wonder why, but they aren't the best at mechanicing. Lol.

    You'll find a diamond in the rough every now and then but usually it ends up like you're dealing with now.

    Isn't there a good independent shop by where you live? Dealer is way too expensive and usually not any better than a good independent shop.

    If you want your truck cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, and quieter, you need to do what I did.

    I pulled the sleeper side panels and roof panels down, then used cut to fit 4' x 8' x 1/2" styrofoam to fill the walls, then used aluminum tape to seal it up. It took two layers to fill the space between the panels and the outside skin.

    The truck had much less outside noise in the sleeper, and a huge difference in cooling and heating. It took me about 2-3 hours to do the whole sleeper. My friend went with me on a team trip, and we ended up doing his truck he liked it so much.

    i know they make a sound proof and insulation for the whole truck like $300 bucks. Might try that later this year

    What stranger is talking about it probably quite a bit cheaper, will work just as good, and takes about the same work to do it. Just food for thought...
