The freight situation here is absolutely horrendous...absolutely no excuse whatsover for it to be this bad....has it slowed a bit since last year, of course, but it hasn't gone dead...it has over here...pathetic

I guess CCC just figures she'll sit at home in her pajamas and post all the loads CH Robinson has listed...

100% of the loads she has posted today are CH Robinson loads...

#45,000 roofing with a 4 foot tarp going to California from Ohio. $1.45/mile... OH BOY that's a money maker!!!!

I can say based on what I've been able to see and what not it's not an industry problem with freight right now this is a Mercer problem and evidently Louisville really doesn't have any desire to fix the problem that's causing it... According to my coordinator they are losing contractors in hemorrhaging fashion......

From my perspective we can stand to lose a bunch of them. I'm tired of seeing our drivers show up at job sites getting out of the truck wearing flip-flops and pajamas then giving the people a hard time when told to wear hard hat, vest, steel toe shoes, etc. If you are going to do flatbed you should be prepared to wear that at every place you go to if requested. To sit and argue with the site foreman about it has cost us more than one contract, or at least banned us from hauling into those sites. Sorry, but we have people more than a few drivers now that just should not be doing this job.

As long as there are drivers and companies willing to haul for dirt cheap rates, those rates will persist. We still have good plenty of good customers, maybe those here just don't happen to be where those are located. Maybe I'm just lucky to be in a good location, at least until this house gets sold.

I agree with you with a lot of the drivers that are coming over here and dressing the way they do at customers.... Not to mention there's quite a few people are we here with their trucks look like they just come out of a junkyard... Really makes the customers think should I use them anymore...

According to CCC she tells me that roofing company had been a customer of hers for a long time BUT now they book all loads through CH Robinson...

I'm my opinion if my long time customer is no longer loyal to me why would I stay loyal to them and continue to haul their loads but through a separate company which is another hand in the cookie jar...

    I'd cut ties with them...

Frankly we should just have access to the CH Robinson load board and point and click loads off there just like we do here, why do I need a freight agent here to do that for me...

Chances are we lose out on the opportunity to haul any good or decent paying loads that they have posted by the time our freight agents here post them and it finally gets seen and selected by a contractor here seems to be the same result "That loads no good.... The customer already moved that load...etc etc etc....
