    This Spotted lanternfly deal again...

They sent out a email about it today.... Now you gotta fill out an inspection form for it???

Some of the stuff these states are coming up with to make a quick buck is just pitiful. :biggrin_25512:

95% of my loads originate in the SLF area, many of the shippers now include a stamp on their BOL cerfiying their freight is inspected for SLF just as a CYA on their part. So far I have neither seen nor heard of anyone getting the dreaded SLF inspection though.

Ch robinson has been doing that for a while...a lot of shippers are turning to them to run their logistics unfortunately

They also updated the cweb with an option for recent flow under unit list...that list any and all actions changed in computer on any load you're dispatched on...date/time and by whom whether its coordinator or agent or driver...

What's that? The copy & pasting of loads from other load boards?

Yeah. Back in 09 when they bought us Pacer guys, all the agents had thier own customers...life was GOOD. Thru the years, agents retired, left, sold out...whatever. Loads from other load boards were posted on ours. Youd call in on the load, the agent would be "let me see if its still available" i would tell the agent " yeah, its still available....i see it on the Landstar board"

I had an agent tell me today that they say it's hard to get loads because "we don't know where you guys want to go"...now i fully understand some only run a certain area which is just fine...myself will bounce around over couple of areas when one area slows down, but many here don't care where they run..but to point blank essentially blame it on drivers why they can't book loads is nonsense in my opinion...

I don't think the agents should get their full cut off of loads that they just pasted off of a load board. Give them some incentive to get off their hind quarters and go out and secure freight. Most of what we're hauling now is essentially double or triple brokered.
