I purchased a custom 2020 tri-axle trailer trying to work into a more specialized division of Mercer and heavy haul. I didn't want to give up the step-deck opportunities but also wanted to be open to higher paying OD loads. Of course I did interview truck operations, sales and contractor support and while no one could guarantee me anything, it did seem plausible by all that I spoke with, that I could be in position for those types of loads... well that didn't fully happen. I'm now with daily Express Inc. and my per mile revenue is on the rise. I enjoy challenging loads where you have to work for it a little more. DailyExp has been incredibly supportive and thorough. It's going to take a few months to recover from my losses at Kole Trucking (see my post about bad companies) but so far I am enjoying the work and load opportunities at DailyExp.
