Gotcha man. I’m home almost every night and I take at least a week off a month if not more... I’m a bit lazy these days

Well explain to me why when capacity tightens rates go up? Explain how the shippers control pricing when it's supply and demand, fewer trucks equals higher rates, or at least it was in the 36 years I was trucking.

That has nothing to do with what we're talking about. We're talking about guys taking cheap loads. What's cheap to one guy could easily be profitable to another.

Capacity will adjust rates across the board but the shipper still decides what they will pay. And even with tight capacity there's still cheap freight.

Brokers do try to manipulate the market by offering the freight for cheap but that's all part of free Enterprise. Are there guys hauling stupid cheap? Yep and I don't know how they do it. I guess their cost to run is cheaper than mine. Either way, me nor anyone else has the right to come along and tell them how to run their business. I don't really care if any other truck on the road is profitable. I only care if mine is profitable. It's nothing personal, it's business. It's a dog eat dog world. No other business cares about someone else's business.

    There, it's been explained.

You asked for an explanation.... I'm sure the feeling is mutual.

If you own a newer pete or kenworth. Make sure to check the mount for the air dryer. It seems its known to break off where it bolts to the frame. By then it's too late. Threw straps on it and heading home to fix lol
