I got one awhile ago too. I75 north of Atlanta. Followed 4 miles 1 of those miles I was 1 mph over 66 in 65 it had some kind of mark by it from Len. But all else was ok so I got -5 points. I threw it in the trash after I read it. Pffftt. Company that I was leased to before did the same thing but we knew where the guy was so we all did 50 mph when we went through there, company finally called us out on it said it was a hazard. We responded by saying minimum speed is 40 mph. Nothing they could do.

I mean really if you're doing something real bad someone will report you anyway. Don't need a dot com dogooder babysitting us.

2 people changing a tire were hit and killed on the florida turnpike the driver continued on to his home near Sanford.
its a random thing , you might encounter them anywhere, I had one follow me with and oversize 2 1/2 years agon in ill on I-70, I did good , no violation and I got a atta boy letter. but then I am in charge of the Kool-Aid here. right now I am at -25.
but really its no big deal, you got 200 points before youre gone, don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. and no they wont sell ya out in heartbeat.
what would be a better deal?? let everyone just do as they pleased? just drive the speed limit and you will be find.
remember the speed limit signs don't say 55( but you can do 60) they just say 55.
no body said you was unsafe, you just got docked 10 points. -
lol, you are still complaining about stuff. the list of things they nit pick on are things drivers have been gigged on on dot inspections, I would much rather be nit picked in Louisville, than at scalehouse.
and those service trucks have the fairest prices of anywhere to get a repair done. the guys that squeal the loudest usually have the trucks with the most wrong with em. in three years and Louisville inspections I have only had to repair a wheel seal, a city horn and a air line. all were no doubt legit, although on the wheel seal I at first said they were off base, but when the drum came off the brakes were wet with oil.
and flightline the deal with the two threadsis without at least 2 threads , the stud is to short and the lug can loosen. it happens when say a truck had steel wheels and added aluminum , but the standard is at least 2 threads or it will lose torquespyder7723 Thanks this. -
I keep getting kicked down o the load board. Others will change preferences which takes me down from 2 to 4. Grrr...missed a few loads that would have gotten me out of here.

So make 3 more posts and PM me any specific questions you have.
I'm not a recruiter but will do my best to answer them. -
....what are you talking about. i wasnt complaining. just stated a fact. actually we are going to end up agreeing to disagree, but since you asked.....
they wanted to fail me for windsheild wiper not "sprying hard enough" on the window. so i put a new motor and new nozzles on to shut them up. wasnt reallly any different than they were before.....that was one. and 2, he said my headach rack that was required by dot, which its not anymore and wasnt at the time, had a crack. it wasnt a crack....ITS WASNT EVEN WELDED IN THAT SPOT!.WASNT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE WELDED THERE......i took jb weld and put over it and he passed me. he looked at my truck while he stood there filling out his paper, and asked what kinda truck i had? THATS the guy doing the inspection. lol hahahaha......ok.
by the way, the only way those studs are gonna "lose torque" is if someone doesnt tighten them like they are supposed to be. as long as they are flush with the nut, its not gonna matter. -
Cost me almost 700.00 to get all my drive studs replaced. All because i was missing a nut cover. He said if i had the nut cover on and he couldn't see it, i would have passed. Really didn't need to spend that money.
-
The thing is, it doesn't matter if we think it's Crap about two threads showing on a stud, it only matters if the dot cares. And they do very much.
-
Wow, I've never heard of the studs needing 2 threads but I run with nut covers on all studs. I would've been pissed to spend 700 for new drive studs. Sorry to hear that.
I do think the service trucks are fair, though the main guy doing inspections owns Lawyers service truck repairs and I think they are higher price. But I think the trucks get enough work without him making up things. They base most weird things on failed inspections recently received.
Also the service trucks do not charge a call out fee or service fee for coming out as most repair trucks would.
