Apparently drivers aren't the only thing they're having a hard time keeping...

The numbers ive heard for drivers leaving isnt any higher than normal. 2 of those postings arent surprising though. We all know rob got canned so thats the 1st one. Second is likely part of the same mess. CFO, meh who knows.

All the drivers i talk to at other carriers say things are just the same over there. Down years always lead to drivers getting pissy and carrier jumping because their always sure its their carriers fault. Anyone who thinks the grass is greener should make a change and find out for sure instead of sitting around #####ing trying to convince others to see it their way.

I wish skateboard was still on here to help keep the thread realistic.

You've obviously been hearing wrong or just have select hearing. The turnover at Mercer is as high as it's ever been. When I left the permits lady said the number of drivers leaving have been "Lots and Lots" as she put it...

My coordinator had put it..."the flood gates are open ".. I also talk to somebody my last weekend there in Louisville that is very reputable and he mentioned to me that is coordinator was brought to meetings with management and they asked her what should be done to solve the issue of everybody leaving and she had emphatically told them stop hiring people right now you don't have enough freight to take care of the ones you've got they obviously blew her off...they dont care.

Well i guess this is confirmation that i need to stick around. If all these drivers are leaving then freight availability should be exceptional this winter

For everyone that leaves there's 1 & 1/2 to take their place. Take a peak into the orientation classroom, it's a full house twice a week.

Lots and lots hardly puts a number to it for determining if its abnormal. The average here for years has been 800 come and 800 go. I keep hearing guys say were bleeding 12 to 15 trucks a week. Well 15 x 52 weeks is 780. Right about normal.
