Why wouldnt i take a load for $3.10 a mile?TheDudeAbides and roshea Thank this.
-
Well you obviously haven't been following the conversation, pay attention. Do you not understand how much money you are going to lose running at $3.10/mi because this is apparently not a direct customer?Big John Classic HQ, TheDudeAbides, spyder7723 and 2 others Thank this.
-
I understand its not a direct customer, but i still make $3.10 a mile. I dont care that Mercer doesnt have the account and we're running someone else's account making them look good. I still make my money
blacklabel, 379_largecar, Rickp and 1 other person Thank this. -
When I was leased to Mercer I pulled a load back in 2011 that was a Daily load. Nothing new about that kind of thing.
-
Depends on the load.
Weight, loading time, tarps?
Is it OSOW?
What's the time frame, gross & net revenue/day?
Fuel cost?
Tolls?
How much d/h to load, and after unloading?
That $3/mi load could be a nice run, or become really unprofitable after you do the math. Oh yeah I forgot, Mercer has it so it must be an awesome load, probably pays a couple grand for a half days work.JonJon78 Thanks this. -
just come back to schneider. Same pay less work.lolRStewart Thanks this.

They add between 800-1000 trucks a year but the fleet stays roughly the same size. A lot of the turnover is guys that aren't cut out to do self dispatch. They need a dispatcher and $1.00 a mile plus FSC. Nothing wrong with that, just saying that's the biggest reason for their turnover. These numbers aren't new, been this way for quite a few years. Some will make it at Mercer, most will not.Rickp Thanks this.
