Anyone else have a T680 and noticed only 2 Batteries are connected to each other? So my truck has 4 total.. 2 are connected.. Then 2 others are connected they all are not linked together..
-
Follow the cables. Bet ya they are linked at the starter.
-
Yeah but would that affect when the truck is off? Would i still get the voltage from all 4 ?
-
Depends on how everything is wired. Follow the cakes and see where they go. Does the cab get its power after the starter or before?
-
That's how the new Peterbilt come from the factory now. I inquired about that this summer when I bought my truck as I thought it was a little odd... Salesmen said all are like that now.TruckerPete1990 Thanks this.

Dang apu starter took a Dump
Glad i got the warranty.. Really really playing with the idea of installing a Mexwell start system on this truck or just throwing 4 deep cycle's in it. Been up north and its been 0 and gonna be -10 friday.. The truck batteries are just not having it. At least with a maxwell i could still start the truck no matter how dead my other batteries might be. But that's almost $1200 for that i could just get 4 AGM's deep cycles in here and hope they last better in the cold

I just briefly looked at the Mexwell website as I've never heard of it, that single battery they have pictured is the actual start system?
