you might have a load cancel every now and then, once every 2 months maybe. but nothing to be a concern. there are no company trucks here anyway

That's great! I have at least 2 or 3 cancellations per month! Thank you sir
-
Don't ask me I had 3 cancel in 4 days 2 weeks ago. Just a fluke I guess. Well 1 was agents fault thought there were 2 loads but it was only one. Other than that I've only had 1 other cancel.saab1985 Thanks this.

I had my Friday load out of Norfolk get bumped into Monday which I promised the wife home by Monday so deadheading home 750 miles. Kinda bites but don't want to sit all weekend and not get home before christmas. Family might disown me. I did wait around most the day trying to find anything going that way but everything was for next week.
I shouldn't bet on such an important loading on Friday.saab1985 Thanks this. -
Happy Holidays to all my Mercer friends out there.

what's up fellas, I'm learning. The other day I had a load half was a 2ft drop the other half was a 7ft drop. I learned 3 things. 1, do the easy tarp last. 2, while I was scratching my head trying to figure out how to do it, had to tell myself no I don't know how to do it YET. 3, While spreading the tarps out I could walk under the tarps to adjust them. I started to tell myself I would never take a load from this company again, but stopped and said it still pays decent and gets me where I want to be. By the way I could not walk on top of this load, what a pain!!! Oh well I still have a lot to learn. Stay safe, Rob

hang in there monkey, you will get it. and hows the fuel mileage? finding those leaks help?
-
I am going to try synthetic oils in the the tranny and rear axles for now. Then all new sensors per rawze on the engine later. Right now I just slow down and take it easy.
-
If the truck is less than 15 years old it probably already has synthetic, unless the previous owner drained and filled with mineral oil. But hey, who knows when those boxes were last drained. Never a bad idea to refill them when you buy a used truck.

I forgot to say that after checking with gps miles last tank I am at 5.4 mpg. Had some light loads that is probably why.
Rob.
