It is not unusual for one company to haul another company's trailers. For example, if a shipper loads the wrong trailer in a preloaded situation. New trailers sometimes need to be moved from a production facility to a company's yard to get inspected and put in to service and the origin may be outside the regular operating area for that carrier.

Got this great news in a message from BestPass. Bad enough PA increases tolls 6% a year and will for the forseable future, but a 36% increase, wow that is a massive amount of new revenue for NJ. Not like there are any easy ways to bypass most of it except in the southern less industrialized part of the state.

But I'm SURE rates will be adjusted to compensate for the additional cost, that is what they always tell us.

"We've identified several toll rate changes that will occur in New Jersey effective this Sunday, Sept. 13, for both passenger and commercial vehicles.

New Jersey Turnpike: toll rates increasing by 36 percent

Garden State Parkway: toll rates increasing by 27 percent

Atlantic City Expressway: toll rates increasing by an average of 57 cents"

 

Another reason to stop hauling anything into or from those states..

 

Ya, because none of the other states are doing it.
