If your going through Denver to get there, there's a chain store next to the Pilot that is half the price of the truckstops. If going through OR to get there, Les Schwab used to rent chains. If you brought them back new, still in the package you got a refund. I'd call ahead to verify they have your size though.

What type of chains did you buy? I wouldn't buy anything but the square cuts.

I think they are the square but not sure, my friend had to special order them for my maxi singles. Sb yes I was wanting to go there to get miles and try a new area. But like I said may not go now. I did find out this morning I was number 90 in revenue last month. I am pretty happy about that. I must be doing something right, course I wouldn't be here without yalls advice. Thank you, rob

Rob, don't go west (especially north west) unless it pays good enough you can bounce back to an area to get a load. Too many guys go out there cause they can't get out of the big miles mentality, then they sit a week to get a load that pays under 1.50/mile. How I factor it up in my head is, the load pay minus the fuel cost to deadhead back out, if it's still a number I'm happy with I go for it. Using that formula i often run from the ky/tn/al area to north Dakota for about 2.90/mile or a little less if a light load. Have turned in quite a few 2500 after fuel weeks doing that. And yes I expect many to say they don't consider that a good week but I'm happy with that number and that's all that matters to me.

Also, Number 90 in revenue is pretty good but keep in mind many of us took a very long vacation last month, hell I still haven't left the house, it's too freaking cold up there. Not trying to bring you down just saying this isn't a good time of year to use that revenue ranking as a benchmark.

about the weather, I should of kept my mouth shut, it's down to 39 tonight. Took over an hour to wrap our plants. I hate winter.
