    From the Mercer Blog:

    Helpful tip:
Tired of scanning or mailing your logs? Sign-up for our ELD by the end of the Truck show week(March 28, 2014) and we’ll pay for the ELD, the install fee and the monitoring fee. Contact you Log Auditor for the details.

I'm already signed up for it but they don't have any system designed yet to work on I-phones, only android phones, so none for me for quite a while. Hopefully lot later.
I would want a splitter plug as well as I wouldn't want to give up my scan gage either.
I doubt there will ever be any install fee as it's just a box that plugs into the ecm and sends a signal bluetooth to your phone and use an app. to send in logs over the internet.
If you stop by the log department, they'll show you the units.
Sadly, it's not a matter if we go to EOBR but when as it already mandated through the government for almost all carriers by the end of the year.

Hey guys, something happened to my truck. I went from 2 tanks of 4.4 and 4.7mpg to 7.67???. I'm not complaining but I would like to know what happened. Had similar light loads although a lot of idleing on the previous tanks, I went home on this tank so I eliminated 2 nights of idleing, but how could I pick up 3mpg? The only thing I can think of is my yellow engine warning light came on thursday and was going to go to my local shop after delivering and picking up the next load in mich on friday but the light went out so I didn't go to the shop. Was the egr stuck open or something? Maybe I should shut up and be grateful and see if it lasts. Stay safe, rob

Yes, there is a splitter provided. You just need to know which connector you need, there are two choices. You could easily connect to the wires directly if you wanted, that's how I had satellite setup on my trucks before, makes it harder for drivers to "accidentally" unplug the device. Hard to "accidentally" cut the wires up inside the dash. Just as easily they would "accidentally" get fired. :biggrin_25519:

Where did you hear that? They haven't released a preliminary NPRM yet, it should be coming out any day. If finalized tomorrow the implementation date will probably be at least two years down the road, possibly longer.

199 bucks huh. Well that's seriously a relief. I never asked because frankly after paying 1200 for qualcomm where I have another truck leased. I wasn't interested lol. I just knew I wasn't doing it until crunch time. ;)

Why would you have a truck anywhere else?
Left the house at 630 to pick up a load in Jacksonville. Hard to leave after spending the last 23 days at home.

I only planned to stay home for two weeks, but the wonderful freightliner dealer in Jefferson, GA is taking their sweet time fixing my truck.

Actually heard from Lynn (just an old guy at Mercer). But then he also said he isn't retiring for another 15 years.
